Curly parsley is the “textural twin” to the more common flat-leaf variety. While often relegated to a simple garnish, its unique structure and mild flavor make it a secret weapon for certain dishes—especially in a vertical Grobrix garden where its ruffled leaves look incredibly lush.
Curly parsley is incredibly versatile. While Italian (flat-leaf) parsley is often used during the cooking process to build flavor, curly parsley is at its best when added at the very end or used as a core ingredient in fresh, cold dishes.
Violas are prone to heat stress during hot weather, leading to wilting leaves. They grow better in a colder environment, ranging from 18°C to 22°C.
Cut and come again! Parsley can be harvested several times. Harvesting can occur when the crop reaches 15 cm tall, starting with the bigger outer leaves by cutting the stems just above a leaf node (the point on the stem where leaves grow).
It’s important not to harvest more than one-third of the leaves at a time in order to allow the plant to continue growing and producing leaves.
