Flat Parsley, also known as Italian Parsley, is a versatile herb known for its fresh, bright, herbaceous, and slightly bitter taste. It has a more robust flavour than the Curly Parsley.
Flat Parsley is commonly used to add a punch of flavour to herb butter, pestos, sauces, and salsas. They also make good toppings for soups, scallop dishes, meatballs and meatloaf.
Cut and come again! Parsley can be harvested several times. Harvesting can occur when the crop reaches 15 cm tall, starting with the bigger outer leaves by cutting the stems just above a leaf node (the point on the stem where leaves grow).
It’s important not to harvest more than one-third of the leaves at a time in order to allow the plant to continue growing and producing leaves.
