Romaine Lettuce bears green, crunchy leaves with large veins and has a refreshing and juicy taste. It’s very crisp, and the taste is slightly bitter, though not too much. It’s not as sweet as Iceberg Lettuce but not as “grassy” as spinach.
Romaine Lettuce can be eaten raw or cooked. It can be chopped and added to salads, sandwiches, or tacos. It can also be grilled, sautéed, or braised as a side dish. Juice Romaine Lettuce to make a healthy, nutrient-rich drink.
Baby Leaves – Start snipping from the outer leaves when they reach 10-12 cm in length, leaving 3 cm from the base and avoiding the crown. Also avoid cutting more than a third of the plant to ensure continuous growth.
Whole head – Remove the whole lettuce from the net pot.
Can be kept up to 1 week with the root ball intact, and proper storage in the fridge.
