Nai Bai, also known as Milk Cabbage, has contrasting milky white stems and dark green leaves. It offers a crisp and crunchy texture with a mild and slightly sweet flavour.
Nai Bai is more commonly used in Chinese stir-fries recipes.
Care and Harvesting Tips:
Indication to harvest your plant is when you spot flowering. Once the flower blooms, the vegetable might be over matured and a little too old for consumption. However, you may still eat the flower from the Nai Bai.
To harvest the whole head, harvest from the base at week 5.
