What’s new at Grobrix this month?
- Grobrix features in the Straits Times as an agent to promote wellness at work.
- Cable Car Farming. We build a wall farm at the top of Mount Faber.
- CBRE Singapore HQ. Grobrix continues to grow with the biggest names in corporate real estate.
- Grobrix showcases at our first trade exhibition to launch our hospitality offering to the market.
It’s always a nice surprise when you find out that you have unknowingly been featured in the press. This article from the Straits Times highlights some of the initiatives currently playing out in Singapore to attract talent and entice employees back to the workplace. If you have a Straits Times subscription, you can read the full article here. The feature takes place at Sodexo’s APAC HQ, where Grobrix was introduced in 2022 to make the workplace more enjoyable. As a multinational company providing food services and facilities management services to more than 50 companies in Singapore, ranging from healthcare institutions to international schools, they are also using Grobrix to showcase innovations for their customers.
“Food is a connecting point because that allows people to spend time with one another, have conversations and reconnect, and allow the ones that are not coming in to feel that they’re missing out on something,” – Mr Abel Ariza, Sodexo Managing director of Singapore and Malaysia.
Mount Faber Farming
Our latest installation goes into a unique location on top of a (small) mount(ain). For anyone riding Singapore’s cable car to the top of Mount Faber, they shall now be greeted by a new open air wall farm at the entrance to their Arbora cafe. The produce will be used here to provide high altitude diners a farm to table experience.

Food&HotelAsia Expo Singapore 2023
I love this picture of the team at Food&HotelAsia last week, where we launched our farm-to-table concept into the hospitality space. This was our first appearance at an exhibition trade show it was exciting to be there! Almost all of our marketing effort on the Grobrix journey to date has been word-of-mouth and organic posts on platforms like LinkedIn, so last week was a great learning experience for us.
The feedback from the hospitality sector so far has been great and the trade show environment really showcased just how ‘plug and play’ the Grobrix wall farm solution is! It was assembled last Monday afternoon in less than 2 hours and came down on Friday in less than an hour. All the plants were simply moved over from our office and most of them were germinated in our nursery less than three weeks ago! We really enjoyed watching people searching around in the booth for the non-existent mains water supply 🙂
We now look forward to farming with more hotels and restaurants along with other interesting places such as gelato cafes, yoga studios, cocktail bars and private dining lounges. If we met you for the first time at FHA last week, we’ll be offering a 50% discount on installation fees for the month of May. Eat Fresh. Waste Nothing. Be Happy.
