2025 was a meaningful year for Grobrix. It was the year our walls became part of the daily furniture in offices, schools, hospitality spaces, and homes. We saw harvest days turn into spontaneous kitchen conversations and morning coffee breaks turn into “is that kale ready yet?” inspections.
This year reminded us that sustainability and wellness work best when they are simple, visible, and actually taste good. Here is a look at what the Grobrix movement grew in 2025.
Grew ~23,000kg of produce, or the weight of ~16 cars' worth of veggies
In 2025, Grobrix systems grew an estimated total of 23,000 kg of fresh produce. To put that in perspective, it is about the same weight as 16 small cars. This was all grown sustainably right where people work, learn, and live.
Beyond the volume, there is the freshness factor. Because this produce is harvested on-site, it is picked at its nutritional peak rather than spending weeks in a shipping container. No long-haul trucking, no cold storage, just real food within arm’s length.

Our systems are designed to be efficient, but the estimated totals still stop us in our tracks. This year, the Grobrix movement helped save 2,703,095 litres of water compared to traditional soil farming. That is enough to flush a toilet nearly half a million times.
Hydroponics allows us to deliver water with surgical precision. It is a quiet, daily efficiency that proves you do not need to flood a field to get a great harvest.
238,368 wrappers saved: Ditching the single-use plastic
Packaging is usually the “hidden cost” of fresh greens, but we decided to opt out.
In 2025, we saved an estimated 238,368 single-use wrappers from entering the waste stream. If you laid all that plastic flat, it would stretch about 72km. That is the equivalent of traveling from Changi to Jurong East and back again. By growing food where it is eaten, we simply removed the need for plastic clamshells and shrink wrap.
11,918kg of food waste prevented: The "Five Elephant" impact
Food waste is a heavy topic, quite literally. This year, the Grobrix movement helped prevent an estimated 11,918kg of food from being tossed away. That is roughly the weight of five elephants! In traditional agriculture, waste is systemic.
Between “ugly” produce discarded at the farm and spoilage during long-distance shipping, huge volumes of greens never actually reach a plate. By growing food exactly where it is eaten, we simply delete those wasteful middle steps. Harvesting on-demand does more than just save a forgotten bag of lettuce; it bypasses a supply chain where loss is a foregone conclusion.
5,000+ people engaged: Education and healthy habits
This year, over 5,000 people joined our workshops and hands-on experiences. These sessions were about more than just checking on plants. We focused on the actual benefits of eating fresh produce and shared small, healthy habits that people could easily take home into their everyday lives. When people understand how food grows, they tend to treat their health (and the planet) a little better.
